Laminate Work Surfaces
Duropal worktops are available in an exciting range of 61 decors. 53 in the popular 6mm post formed range and 8 in the sharp 3mm radius Quadra profile. Duropal's classic profile is the UK's fastest selling worktop design.
Duropal worktops are resistant to sunlight, abrasion, cigarette burns, stains, most chemicals and impact. Duropal high pressure laminate (HPL) is made up of a number of layers of melamine inpregnated 'kraft' papers which is then compressed under heat and high pressure. Melamine resin is the hardest of all synthetically produced organic materials, which is why Duropal is one of the most durable kitchen worktops available!
Axiom was first launched by Formica Ltd.in the UK in 1992 and has gained market strength ever since. Axiom worktops boasts one of the largest colour / decor ranges on the market, currently 64 deisgns at present. All Axiom worktops are sealed to protect the core along the front and back edge. The Axiom range is 40 mm available in 4100mm lengths in the standard range. Honed, Gloss and Etchings range are available in 3600mm lengths only.
This in expensive option is a very popular choice for kitchen countertops and it comes in a variety of colors and textures. It isn't that hard wearing and can get scratched or burned, and gets dirty very easily. It is not built to last. If you do choose laminate you can protect your surfaces with trivets and chopping boards. |
